Kelly Hiebert

Kelly Hiebert is a high school history teacher at Westwood Collegiate with 17 years of experience, specializing in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Eastern European History, and detecting bias in social media. A recipient of the Governor General's Award and the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence in Canadian History (2021-22), Kelly holds a master’s degree in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning with a focus on Holocaust Education. He has published on best practices in teaching history and combating hate and antisemitism and is the director of the Holocaust Educators Sites Studies Tour, supporting educators in Holocaust education
